My name is Kyra, a 23-year-old ambitious social media lover, living in Haarlem, The Netherlands, together with my boyfriend and cat named Mango.
As a teen i grew up in the decade where social media platforms quickly arose out of nowhere. This grabbed my attention, which caused me to have all social media apps on my phone within no-time. I always would watch different vlogs and scroll through Instagram feeds. Therefore, as a young teen, I quickly became a social media native.
When I needed to pick a direction of studies after high school, I had no clue which direction I had to choose. Yes, I spent a lot of time on social media, and felt really inspired by all the possibilities on the platforms, but there was not a study related to this right?
I decided to go for the Media & Entertainment Management studies, and was hoping to learn more on the digital media industry. By combining this industry with marketing, the interest in social media marketing was born.
One aspect I was missing in my studies was the subject Influencers. I followed some influencers myself, and became intrigued by them. Therefore, I started wondering how the collabs between businesses and Influencers went, and everything that comes with it. I decided to take an internship at a PR agency in Amsterdam, where they also offered Influencer Marketing Services. Luckily, I’ve gained a lot of experience on Influencer Marketing Campaigns here, which I am grateful for. I was allowed to manage different brands socials, and set up and managed different Influencer Marketing campaigns here, from start till finish.

Just before I graduated, the world got shook up due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Fortunately, some industries took this to their advantages, and realized they should take the online platforms more seriously. Therefore, more and more entrepreneurs reached out to me, and asked me if I could help them with their social media. It seems like the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the digitalization in the right direction. Due to all these applications for social media help, I realized social media is not as easy as it is for me. Therefore, I decided to start helping entrepreneurs, and Hashtag K was born.
The social media industry is full of content, ads, and more than a million profiles who all would like to gain your attention. Therefore, it is becoming more and more difficult to stand out and directly gain the attention of your target audience.
An essential part that is missing in this noisy world is an authentic approach, where real connections are the main focus. It is important to position yourself as a real person. By embracing authenticity, you can be social on social media, and connect with your target audience in order to build trust. And the best part? It is not as hard as you might think!
My goal is to help entrepreneurs with social media management, and show them different ways on how to grow in the online industry. There are more possibilities than you think. As a social media native I know all the ins and outs, and with the extra knowledge about Influencer Marketing I like to help entrepreneurs to discover the possibilities for their brand. My mission is to help entrepreneurs implementing authenticity on social media, to ensure growth and attracting the right target audience.
