Instagram Reels is the new feature of Instagram. Despite the new-ness of the function, it does not look completely new. It looks a lot like the feature on TikTok. However, there are two completely different cultures on both platforms: TikTok is being used by Generation Z, whereas Instagram Reels is more popular among Millennials and Generation X.
So you haven’t tried creating new content using this feature? That’s a pity! There are many opportunities for this feature. In this article I’ll provide you 4 reasons on why to start creating Instagram Reels.
It’s evergreen content
Well… Sort of evergreen. The lifespan of a Reel is longer than the lifespan of a post. Weeks after posting your reel, your reel can still get views, which causes an increase in visibility.
Video content is rising
More and more people like to see moving images, instead of just pictures. This is because video keeps the attention for longer. Next to this, you can share your content more dynamically with video. In a post you can only highlight 1 topic, whereas in video you can highlight more than 3 topics.
